IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa redshirt senior Corey Burns was named to the 2017 Big Ten Women’s Soccer All-Tournament Team, announced by the league office Sunday evening.
This is Burns’ first all-tournament honor, becoming the first player since 2014 to earn the honor. Burns was also selected as a member of Top Drawer Soccer’s Team of the Week on Sept. 16, 2014.
The native of Green Oaks, Ill., started 51 games during her Iowa career and collected a total of three goals and 10 assists as a Hawkeye. She played all 102 minutes of Iowa’s Big Ten Tournament game against Ohio State.
Iowa finished the season with a 9-8-2 overall record and returned to the Big Ten tournament for the first time since 2014.
