GREENSBORO, N.C. — University of Iowa freshman diver Anton Hoherz advanced to the semifinals of the platform competition at the 2017 USA Diving Winter National Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on Friday.
 
The Texas native was in eighth place following prelims, finishing with a score of 267.15.  He finished 10th in the event with a score of 503.45.
 
Texas’ Jordan Windle is the leader heading into the finals with a 406.25, followed by Tennessee’s Colin Zeng (400.05) and Miami’s Zach Cooper (363.30).
 
The Iowa swimming team is heading to Florida for its training trip Saturday. The Hawkeyes return to action Jan. 12-13, hosting Illinois and Notre Dame at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium.
