@SASHASCHMID ON SEASON OPENER
“I think this year they are going to grow and fight for each other. Once they get out there and compete against other teams as a whole I think they are going to be more confident in who they are as a group and how strong they can be together.”

TAKING ON THE BLUEJAYS
Saturday’s match will be the third meeting between Iowa and Creighton. The Hawkeyes lead the all-time series, 2-0. The previous match between the two teams was in 2017 and was dominated by the Hawkeyes (7-0).

38006TAKING ON THE PANTHERS

The Hawkeyes welcome three incoming freshman to the roster this year. Danielle Bauers, a five-star recruit from Alpharetta Georia, Danielle Burich, a two-time Illinois state singles champion, and Yufei Long from Shenzhen, China, who posted a 7-4 singles and 5-3 doubles record in her first fall season.
