38006“We are excited to have Cloe join our Hawkeye tennis program,” Schmid said. “Cloe is an excellent junior tennis player with a lot of experience competing at high levels of international junior tennis.”

Ruette is from Lanaken, Belgium. She won four national women’s tennis tournaments in 2016 and 2017, and reached as high as No. 38 in the Belgium national rankings.

“Cloe has a diverse tennis game that will translate very well to college tennis,” said Schmid. “She will be an excellent teammate and no doubt make immediate contributions to our team in both singles and doubles.”

Ruette is the fourth Hawkeye to commit to the 2018 recruiting class. Samantha Mannix and Michelle Bacalla signed with the Hawkeyes last fall, and Sophie Clark committed in May.
