IOWA CITY, Iowa – – Fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes are now able to experience the all-inclusive tailgate/ticket packages on an individual game basis through Hawkeye Village, fueled by REG. The announcement was made Wednesday by the Iowa Athletics Department.
The Hawkeye Village, fueled by REG, has traditionally served corporate groups with an all-inclusive tailgate option at Duane Banks Field, next to Kinnick Stadium. Beginning this football season, all fans can experience the all-inclusive tailgate/ticket packages at any of Iowa’s seven home games.
“We have opened Hawkeye Village to provide an all-inclusive option to those attending games who are looking for a fun tailgating experience with everything in one space,” said Charlie Taylor, associate athletics director of strategic marketing and communications. “Hawkeye Village’s proximity to Kinnick Stadium, with a guaranteed game ticket, food, and beverage, is a great option for fans attending as many as seven or as few as one of Iowa’s home games.”
The individual game packages include a game ticket, musical entertainment, all-you-can-eat buffet and drinks, including beer, wine, bottled water, and soft drinks. The buffet menu includes a grilled steak sandwich, Wimmer’s brats, marinated chicken breasts, white cheddar mac and cheese and rainbow rotini salad.
Questions concerning the purchase of 2018 football tickets, including general public, UI faculty/staff and UI student seasons tickets by current UI students, should be directed to the UI Athletics Ticket Office. The office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office telephone number is 1-800-IA-HAWKS. Information is also available at hawkeyesports.com/fightforiowa.
