Rennegarbe, Lizarazu lead Hawkeyes on Day 1

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – Senior Shawn Rennegarbe and freshman Manuela Lizarazu led the University of Iowa women’s golf team through the first two rounds of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational on Tuesday.
 
Washington is in first place after carding a two-round score of 570 (-6). Oregon State (585; +9) and Pepperdine (589; +13) are second and third. Iowa is in ninth, with a 36-hole score of 608 (+32).
 
HAWKEYE LEADERBOARD
Senior Shawn Rennegarbe jumped up six spots on the leaderboard after finishing two-over-par with five birdies in the second round. Rennegarbe carded a two-round score of 150 (+6). She is tied for 22nd. Freshman Manuela Lizarazu finished the first round one-over-par with three birdies en-route to a 36-hole score of 151 (+7). 
 
PERMANN CLIMBS 12 SPOTS
Sophomore Brett Permann vaulted up 12 spots on the leaderboard in her second tournament as a Hawkeye. Permann recorded four birdies in the second round, carding a 36-hole total of 152 (+8). She is tied for 32nd. Senior Kristin Glesne and freshman Dana Lerner are tied for 47th and 64th, respectively.
