ATLANTA – University of Iowa freshman Sam Tamborski advanced to the finals of the 3-meter springboard competition before placing 13th at the USA Diving World University Trials at the McAuley Aquatic Center.
The Colorado native placed 12th in prelims with a score of 246.35 to advance to the finals. She scored a 223.75 in the finals for a total of 470.10.
Lauren Reedy won the competition with a score of 592.30.
Iowa sophomore Anton Hoherz also competed for the Hawkeyes off the platform, placing 14th with a score of 244.55.
