IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa men’s tennis team is ranked No. 42 nationally in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings released today. The national ranking marks the second straight season that the Hawkeyes earned a No. 42 ranking in the initial expanded rankings of the spring. Iowa is one of six Big Ten teams ranked, joining Ohio State (1), Illinois (8), Minnesota (17), Michigan (18), and Penn State (39).

Iowa is off to its best start under head coach Ross Wilson. The Hawkeyes are 8-1, already beating four teams who competed in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

Iowa travels to Cornell (3-5) this weekend for a match against the Big Red on Sunday.
