The University of Iowa women’s tennis team travels to Florida this weekend, and through next week, to compete in three non-conference matches. Saturday’s, Furman and Sunday’s match against Florida Gulf Coast will be played in Fort Myers, Florida, with a start time of 9 a.m. (CT). Tuesday, March 12, Iowa travels to Lake Nona, Florida, to compete against Notre Dame in a USTA National Campus Collegiate Series match. Start time is 10 a.m. (CT) at the USTA National Campus.

“Our road trip to Florida for the next three matches will be a great stretch for us. Most importantly, our team wants to get back out and compete. In addition, we will gain valuable outdoor tennis experience and play three tough teams who will push and challenge us in every match.
SOLID TEST BEFORE BIG TEN STRETCH
The University of Iowa women’s tennis team is looking to get back in the win column after a tough stretch of three close losses. After this stretch of three matches in Florida, the Hawkeyes will compete in 10 straight Big Ten matches, five of which will be at the HTRC.
TAKING ON THE PALADINS
Saturday’s match is just the second meeting all-time between the Hawkeyes and Paladins. Iowa leads the series with their lone win coming in 2007, 6-1.
TAKING ON THE EAGLES
Sunday’s match will be the first meeting all-time between the Hawkeyes and the Eagles. Florida Gulf Coast is 4-4 on the season.
TAKING ON THE FIGHTING IRISH
Tuesday’s match will be the 22nd meeting between the Hawkeyes and Fighting Irish. Notre Dame leads the all-time series, 19-2. The previous match between the two programs was last season, when the Hawkeyes defeated the Fighting Irish, 5-2.
