Rowing Improves to 12th in National Poll

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa rowing team has improved to No. 12 in the latest Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) national poll released Wednesday.

The Hawkeyes No. 12 ranking comes after competing at the Longhorn Invitational April 26-27. Iowa finished third overall as a team, while the I Varsity Eight boat upset No. 10 Virginia in the Saturday morning session.

Iowa has been ranked nationally a program-best 26 consecutive weeks. Additionally, the Hawkeyes are one of six Big Ten teams (Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Indiana) included in the poll.

The Hawkeyes return to the water May 19 for the Big Ten Championships at Devil’s Lake, Wisc.
