3 Hawkeyes Set to Attend B1G Media Days

 
IOWA CITY, Iowa — Three University of Iowa football players — senior quarterback Nate Stanley, senior defensive back Michael Ojemudia, and junior running back Toren Young — will join head coach Kirk Ferentz at the 2019 Big Ten Football Media Days, July 18-19, in Chicago.
 
All 14 Big Ten teams will be represented by their head coach and select players at the two-day event, which includes the Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon on Friday, July 19. Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz and the three Hawkeye players will meet with the media throughout the day on Friday.
 
Football InsertStanley, who will be making his second appearance at the annual media days, threw for 2,852 yards and 26 touchdowns — the second-most in the Big Ten and 22nd-most in the country — last season. A native of Menomonie, Wisconsin, Stanley was an academic All-Big Ten selection for the second straight year and Iowa’s offensive team captain. Stanley’s career totals include 5,351 passing yards and 52 touchdowns.
 
Ojemudia played in 13 games with seven starts at cornerback last season, recording 39 tackles, three interceptions, and six pass break ups. The native of Farmington Hills, Michigan, recorded interceptions in back-to-back wins over Illinois and Nebraska.
 
Young, a Madison, Wisconsin, native, finished second on the team in rushing attempts, rushing yards, and rushing touchdowns (136-637-5) last season.
 
The 48th annual luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. and will be hosted by ESPN’s Rece Davis, with student-athlete interviews with ESPN’s Laura Rutledge.
