IOWA CITY, Iowa — The nationally-ranked University of Iowa men’s tennis team sent a pair of seniors to the ITA All-American Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Kareem Allaf started his senior campaign on a winning note, bouncing USC’s Freshman Ryder Jackson in straight sets (6-4, 6-3) in the Round of 128 of the Qualifying Draw. Allaf won the final five points in the second set for the win. Allaf will seek a personal-best finish at the ITA All-American Championships on Tuesday facing Constantin Frantzen of Baylor in the Round of 64.
On Saturday, Jason Kerst fell to Tomas Rodriguez of UT-Chattanooga in the opening round of the pre-qualifying tournament in straight sets.
