3 Hawkeyes Surge in National Rankings

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Three University of Iowa men’s tennis student-athletes are ranked in the ITA Division I National Rankings released on Wednesday. Kareem Allaf is ranked No. 53 in singles, while the doubles team of Will Davies/Oliver Okonkwo are ranked 10th.

Allaf’s No. 53 ranking is the highest the redshirt senior has been ranked as a Hawkeye. He owns the third most wins in school history (78). Allaf is also fourth in school history for combined singles and doubles victories (132).

Davies/Okonkwo’s No. 10 doubles ranking is the highest in school history, besting their own record from the final fall rankings (No. 16). This spring, the tandem boasts a convincing victory over the No. 41 doubles team from Western Michigan Opitz/Nouchi. Davies/Okonkwo are the second highest ranked doubles team among student-athletes in the Big Ten.
