TUSCON, Ariz. — The Hawkeyes finished the first round of the Arizona Wildcat Invitational in 16th place with a two-round score of 621 (+45). The University of Texas is leading with a score of 562 (-14).
Freshman Klara Wildhaber leads the Hawkeyes tied for 45th with a score of 151(+7). She recorded six birdies and 18 holes at par. Wildhaber was followed by sophomore Jacque Galloway tied for 57th with a 154(+10). Galloway tallied four birdies and 21 holes at par.
Senior Brett Permann made her season debut and is tied for 70th, sophomore Morgan Goldstein is in 72nd place, and sophomore Leah Zeitler is tied at 73rd.
The Hawkeyes will begin round three at 9 a.m. (CT) on Tuesday.
