TUCSON, Ariz. — The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished stroke-play at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational on Tuesday with a 54-hole score of 927 (+63). The Hawkeyes finished the tournament in 16th place.
Freshman Klara Wildhaber led the way for the Hawkeyes with her 223 (+7) finish that tied for 32nd. During the final round at the Sewailo Golf Club, the Switzerland native tied her career low 18-hole score of 72 for the fourth time this year.
Sophomore Jacque Galloway finished in a tie for 44th with her 54-hole total of 227 (+11).
Brett Permann, the senior from Frisco, Texas, competed for the Hawkeyes for the first time this year and posted a score of 236 (+20). She tied for 66th in the three-round tournament.
Sophomore Lea Zeitler finished in 75th after finishing with 245 strokes in three rounds, and sophomore Morgan Goldstein withdrew before the final round after a round one 81 and round two 79.
UP NEXT
The Hawkeyes travel to the West Coast for the final time of the 2021 season next week to compete in the BYU Spring Classic on March 15-16.
