Hawks Dedicate Practice to Dr. Grant

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa field hockey team participates in the Christine Grant Run/Walk/Build week every year. However, this year will be a little different as the Hawkeyes prepare to head to the Elite Eight on Friday. To continue their support of Dr. Grant and the event, the Hawkeyes dedicated their practice on Thursday to the raise awareness for the fundraiser.

The Christine Grant Run/Walk/Build week honors Dr. Christine Grant and raises funds and awareness for Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program. This year, the walk/run will take place Sunday, May 2 through Sunday, May 9.

“Any opportunity we have as a program to represent and honor Dr. Grant we take full advantage of,” Iowa head coach Lisa Cellucci said. “For the past 12 years we have participated in the Christine Grant Run/Walk. This is a fantastic event that raises funds for a great cause, and we want to do what we can to help promote and spread the word.”
