WBB Inks 3 on National Signing Day

University of Iowa women’s basketball head coach Lisa Bluder announced the 2022-23 signing class on Wednesday with Jada Gyamfi, Taylor McCabe and Hannah Stuelke signing National Letters of Intent. The Hawkeyes’ latest recruiting class is ranked No. 20 by espnW HoopGurlz.

“This is the fourth consecutive top-25 ranked recruiting class for us, and that bodes very well for the future of Iowa basketball,” Bluder said. “I see this class making an immediate impact on our team. These women are great players that will be great additions athletically and academically.”

  • CIML Conference Champion junior season
  • Named to Iowa All-Tournament, all-region and all-district teams as a junior
  • Earned first team honors from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association and Iowa Print Sports Writers Association as a junior and was a second team IPSWA honoree as a sophomore
  • Second team all-conference as a freshman at Johnston High School before earning first team all-conference honors as a sophomore and junior
  • Played for All Iowa Attack (2017-2021) under Dickson Jensen, Randy Mauro and Allen Jones, winning three Nike National Championships, two Boo Williams Championships and recorded an undefeated season in 2020

  • Ran cross country, finishing runner up in the 2022 Class A State Championship, and track and field, finishing first in the 4×800-meter relay, second in the 4×400-meter relay and third in the 800 meters and helping team to the 2021 Nebraska State Championship title

  • Played five years on All Iowa Attack under Dickson Jensen, earning the 2019 Boo Williams Invitational Tournament MVP honor and 2019 Nike Nationals All-Tournament team honors and winning the 2021 Nike Nationals Championship
