Iowa Faces Rough Waters During Pac-12 Invite Final Day

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – The University of Iowa rowing team wrapped up its second and final day of competition at the Pac-12 Invite on Lake Las Vegas.

Iowa’s grouping for Sunday’s races included no. 4 Stanford, UCLA, and Clemson.

High winds and rough conditions caused for adverse day on the water for Iowa. The 1V8, 2V8 and 1V4 boats all placed fourth in their respective races.

QUOTING JEFF GARBUTT
“The trip to Las Vegas this weekend was full of valuable lessons for our team. Being able to see the level of competition in the top 10 is something you to have to fully experience to understand. The team responded well to the adversity we faced and although the results weren’t what we would have liked, we moved the program forward once again. We are now looking forward to next week and the start of our Big Ten season.”
