Kenlin Heads to NCAA Championships

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa sophomore Adeline Kenlin will compete at the NCAA Championships on the balance beam in Semifinal II on Thursday at 5 p.m. (CT) inside Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Kenlin earned her spot into the NCAA Championships after scoring a 9.950 on the beam at the NCAA Regionals on March 31 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was the highest placing individual on the event on a team not advancing to the championships.

The Iowa City, Iowa, native is the first Hawkeye since Clair Kaji in 2017 to compete at the NCAA Championships and she is the 11th Iowa gymnast all-time to earn her spot at the preeminent NCAA competition.

Kenlin earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2022 despite missing four weeks during the regular season because of injury. She has captured five event titles and 13 top three finishes this season. Kenlin, who shares the school record on beam with a 9.975, has scored 9.900 or higher in seven consecutive meets.
