MADISON, Wis. – Incoming University of Iowa freshman Shannyn Vogler qualified for the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship on Friday at Blackhawk Country Club.
The Moline, Illinois, native shot a two-over par 74, finishing with four birdies during her round. Vogler was +3 over her first nine holes and -1 on the back nine before winning a four hole playoff to earn the final qualifying spot.
Vogler is one of 156 players who will qualify for the U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship. The 72nd championship all-time will be held at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green, Kentucky, from July 18-23.
