LAS VEGAS, Nevada — The University of Iowa women’s tennis team will wrap up fall competition, traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada, to compete in the Jolene Watanabe Classic. The tournament begins at noon (CT) on Friday and continues through Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
Four other teams, Oregon, Utah, Long Beach State, and San Diego State, make up the total of 32 players competing in the four, eight-player singles draws and two, eight-team doubles draws. Almost every Hawkeye will be taking the court apart from Barbora Pokorna, who is rehabbing an injury.
Doubles quarterfinals followed by singles quarterfinals will take place on Friday, then doubles semifinals followed by singles semifinals will be on Saturday. Tournament play will come to an end on Sunday with doubles and singles finals.
