Hawkeyes Set to Host High School Clinic

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa rowing team is holding a sports performance and learn-to-row clinic at the P. Sue Beckwith, MD Boathouse on Jan. 28, 2023.

All who attend will be able to check in at 11 a.m. (CT). The day will start with an overall fitness assessment at 11:10 a.m. from a University of Iowa strength and conditioning specialist.

A series of athletic activities focused on evaluating strength, power, and flexibility will commence in Carver-Hawkeye Arena at Noon. Afterwards, an introductory rowing session will be held at the P. Sue Beckwith Boathouse with ergometer and indoor tank equipment.

Events will end at 2:45 p.m. inside the boathouse.

The cost to register is 65 dollars. The program is open to any and all female high school juniors and seniors. The clinic will provide a Nike t-shirt, transportation between facilities, and a snack. It is highly recommended to bring tennis shoes, athletic attire, and a water bottle if attending.
