IOWA CITY, Iowa — Molly Rygh will join the University of Iowa soccer staff as Director of Operations effective January 26, 2024. Rygh joins Iowa Soccer following one season as a graduate assistant coach for Iowa Rowing.
“After a search that included many well-qualified and talented candidates, it was clear to our staff that Molly would be an amazing addition to our program,” said Head Coach Dave DiIanni. “She has everything it takes to be a Hawkeye.”
Rygh was a rower at Iowa from 2018-2023, where she was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, CRCA Scholar Athlete and three-time letterwinner.
“Molly has the passion, pride and commitment that is required to bring to work every day to make the Hawkeye community proud,” said DiIanni. “Molly’s time as a successful student-athlete and coach in the rowing program is valuable. She knows the ins and outs of our athletic department and will be able to mentor and meet the needs of Hawkeye student-athletes. We’re excited for Molly to join our program.”
Rygh holds a B.A. in elementary education from the University of Iowa.
