2007-08 — recorded 16 top-eight finishes… posted season bests in 100 breat (1:07.50), 200 breast (2:25.92) 200 IM (2:13.40)… letterwinner.

2006-07 – swam season bests in 500 free (5:29.20), 1,000 free (11:00.15), 200 IM (2:15.08) and 400 IM (4:50.98)… recorded eight top-five finishes… won Alison Pennington Haddon Strength of Character Award… letterwinner.

High School — state runner-up in 100 breast (1:07.56) senior year… two-time first team all-state and team captain… team MVP senior year… four-time all-conference selection and letterwinner… set school records in 100 breast (1:07.56), 200 IM (2:13.91), 50 free, 200 free, 500 free and 100 fly and as part of 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays… class valedictorian… National Honor Society member… coaches were Don Spellman, Brooke Larsen and former Iowa swimmer Abby Van Maaren.

Personal — born January 25, 1988… daughter of Steve and the late Renee Johns… father ran track at Iowa State University and mother was a gymnast at Grandview College… her brother, Brian, swam at Loras College… political science and pre-law studies major.
