Jack Dahm was today named baseball coach at the University of Iowa. Iowa Athletic Director Bob Bowlsby made the announcement. He becomes the 18th coach in the school’s 114-year history of baseball.

Jack is very committed to developing student-athletes in all aspects of their experience on campus and I believe he will bring new energy and success to Iowa baseball.”
He was part of the Creighton baseball program as a player, assistant coach and head coach for 18 years. Dahm is Creighton’s all-time winningest baseball coach with a career mark of 283-276-2. He was an assistant on the 1991 Bluejay team that reached the College World Series.
He was named Missouri Valley Coach of the Year in 1999 and 2002. His Bluejay teams advanced to the NCAA regional in 1999 and 2000.
Dahm was a player (1986-89) and assistant coach (1990-93) under Jim Hendry. He has had 17 players drafted in the Major League draft and coached seven Freshmen all-Americans and two all-Americans.
Dahm and his wife, Lynn, have three children (two boys, Casey and Tyler, and and a girl, Lyndsey).
