Hawkeyes in 20th After First Day

MASON, OH – The Iowa men’s golf team is in 20th place after the first day of the Xavier Provident Invitational. The Hawkeyes shot a 36-hole total of 593. Leading the way is Indiana after firing a round of 560.

Leading the way for the Hawkeyes tied for 19th place is Erik Feldick. Feldick fired a round of 142. Bennett Hammerberg carded a score of 146 which placed him tied for 47th. Brian DeBuhr shot a round of 153, which was good enough to place him tied for 90th. Todd Larson and Robby Storm came in with scores of 154 and 155 respectively to place them tied for 98th and 102nd.

Individually leading the way is Indiana’s Jeff Overton. Overton fired a 36-hole total of 130. Three strokes behind in second is Marquette’s Michael Bielawski.
