The Iowa women’s tennis team defeated the Michigan State Spartans, 5-2, Sunday afternoon. The Hawkeyes move to 11-4 overall, 4-1 in the Big Ten.

In doubles, the Hawkeyes were able to take every match. Iowa then moved on to win the top four slots in singles. Meg Racette defeated Keri Thompson at the No. 1 spot, 7-5, 7-5. At No. 2 singles, Hillary Mintz won over Caroline Lay, 6-4, 6-4. Sophomore Chelsea Glynn emerged victorious over Shelley Brady, 6-1, 6-2. At the No. 4 spot, Anastasia Zhukova defeated Pascale Schnitzer, 6-4, 6-2.

The Hawkeyes will compete next at Wisconsin April 10 starting at 11 a.m.
