IOWA CITY – The opener of the four-game series between Iowa and Northwestern was rained out on Friday night at Duane Banks Field. As a result, the two teams will play a pair of doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, the teams will play a nine-inning game followed by a seven-inning game with play beginning at 1 p.m. On Sunday, the Hawkeyes and Wildcats will play a seven-inning contest followed by a nine-inning affair to round out the series. The start time for Sunday’s contest has yet to be determined.
