Haluska Helps Big Ten Foreign Team to Three Wins

Iowa Sophomore Adam Haluska scored in double figures in three games as the Big Ten Conference Foreign Tour Team has won all three games to date on its tour in France and Italy.

The Big Ten squad defeated the Frejus Basketball Club 84-78 in its first game Friday. The Big Ten team scored a 103-68 victory over Marseille-Fos Basketball Club Saturday and a 95-74 win over Marina Traviglia Basketball Club Monday. The final two games are slated for Wednesday and Thursday.

Haluska, a 6-5, 210-pound guard from Carroll, IA, scored 11 points in the opening win. In the second victory, Haluska led the Big Ten team with 16 points and seven rebounds. Haluska added 12 points, five rebounds and two steals in Monday’s win.

The Big Ten squad has had at least four players score in double figures in each of the three games. The team is being coached by Kurt Kanaskie, the former Drake University head coach who is now an assistant coach at Penn State.
