The Ontario Blue Jays is a team of the best young players in Ontario. It was started in 1994 by the Toronto Blue Jays to promote the game in Canada. In their ten-year history, the Blue Jays have had 30 players drafted in the Major League baseball draft. Two former players are in the Big Leagues right now – Shawn Hill (Expos) and Peter Orr (Braves).

Ontario will also play Eastern Michigan, Auburn, Florida, Wichita State, Arkansas and other teams on its tour of the United States.

“We are excited to get on the field with good competition,” Iowa Head Coach Jack Dahm said. “It will be nice to go up against opposition that you aren’t as familiar with. Ontario is bringing a lot of good young players, so it should be a great night for both our players and fans.”
