The 2004 Black and Gold Basketball Blowout presented by Mediacom will be a morning affair now that Big Ten Conference officials announced a 2:30 p.m. start time for the Iowa-Purdue football game on Saturday, Nov. 6.

The 2004 Black and Gold Basketball presented by Mediacom will tip off prior to the Iowa-Purdue football game. As in previous years, Bloowut tickets are general admission and cost only $5.

Coach Steve Alford’s 2004-05 Iowa Hawkeyes will go Black versus Gold beginning shortly after 11 a.m. inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena in a “Breakfast Edition” of the annual special event.
University officials have not yet determined the time at which they’ll open the doors to Carver, but, as in the past, all attendees of the Blowout will receive a free gift upon entry and a limited number of 2004-05 Iowa Basketball trading card sets will be available.
All spectators who secure a game program will also be eligible for a variety of prizes ranging from tickets to one-of-a-kind souvenir items. They’ll also have the opportunity to get their picture taken with their favorite Hawkeye during the pre-game and autographs during the post-game.
Blowout tickets cost just $5 and can be purchased in advance at the UI Athletic Ticket Office.
