May 18, 2005

IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa baseball team’s scheduled game with Illinois-Chicago has been cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather tonight. With heavy rains in the forecast, Illinois-Chicago elected not to make the trip to Iowa City.

The Hawkeyes will wrap-up the regular season this weekend with a four-game series at Illinois. Friday’s game is set for 6:05 p.m. and will be broadcast on AM 800-KXIC. Iowa is currently in third place and can win the Big Ten Championship with a sweep of Illinois and a Purdue loss.
