ANN ARBOR, MI — The Iowa Men’s Golf team finished the 2005 Wolverine Invitational in fifth place. They finished the first round yesterday at the par 71 U-M Golf Course shooting two-over-par as a team and carding a two round score of 570. Today they carded a team score 284 (E) and finished two-over-par with a total score of 854.
Cole Peevler (-7, T2nd) led Iowa individually finishing the first day with a score of five-under-par which put him in a tie for fourth place. Today, in the final round he shot 69 (-2) which put him seven-under-par for the tournament and placed him in a tie for second. Jon Feldick (+3, T26th), Todd Larson (+5, T35th), Andy Tiedt (+7, T45) and Luke Miller (+8, T50th) also competed for the Hawkeyes.
Iowa is scheduled to compete next at the Memphis Intercollegiate on October 3.
