ANN ARBOR, MI – Singles play continued today at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships. Sophomore Bart van Monsjou was the lone Hawkeye in competition today.
Van Monsjou was defeated in the first round of main draw singles by Chris Klingemann of Ohio State, the number nine seed, 6-2, 6-2.
The Hawkeye doubles team of Christian Bierich and Chaitu Malempati will be competing tomorrow in the second round of doubles competition. Matches will begin Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Varsity Tennis Center.
