IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa baseball team has announced tickets for the 2006 Lead-Off Dinner are sold out.
“Selling out the Lead-Off Dinner is a real thrill for us,” Iowa Head Coach Jack Dahm said. “We started this three years ago to kick-off the season in a positive way and start building excitement for Iowa baseball. This is a positive sign for the baseball program.”
The Lead-Off Dinner will be held Monday, February 6, at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Iowa City. A special V.I.P. reception begins at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner and program beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The program will feature talks from Dahm and former Los Angeles Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda. There will be silent and live auctions for sports memorabilia, including one-of-a-kind live and silent auction items including autographed items by Kerry Woods, Reggie Jackson, Kirby Puckett, Magic Johnson, Kirk Hinrich, Brett Favre. There will also be Hawkeye memorabilia and much more on the auction block.
