Hawkeyes Finish Strong At Wildcat Invitational

EVANSTON, IL – The Iowa women’s tennis team completed competition today at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Northwestern University. The Hawkeyes dominated Florida State in singles competition.

Junior Hillary Mintz defeated Tapiwa Marobela of Florida State, 6-0, 6-4, while Sophomore Milica Veselinovic defeated Suzanna Mansour, and Jacqueline Lee defeated Anna Rynarzewska in three sets. Freshman Kayla Berry defeated Whitney Eber.

Also successful today in singles competition against New Mexico was freshman Merel Beelen, defeating Elisa Bonner, 6-3, 6-2.

The Hawkeyes will compete next weekend at Coe College, hosting Marquette on Friday, with competition set to begin at 6p.m., and Baylor on Sunday, beginning at 10a.m.
