IOWA CITY, IA – The sixth-ranked University of Iowa men’s gymnastics team beat No. 5 Michigan and fell to No. 3 Illinois Saturday evening at the UI Fieldhouse. Iowa’s final score was 209.600.
Iowa dominated on pommel horse, placing in the first three spots. Michael Reavis came in first (8.6), Curtis Kleffman came in second (8.550) and Jake Becker was third (8.250).
Reavis came in first in the all-around with a score of 52.350, third in floor (9.050) and third on vault (9.350). Matt Beiler and Jacques Bouchard came in a tie for second on rings with a 9.150.
The Hawkeyes travel to Oakland, CA on February 24 to compete in the Pacific Coast Classic. Competition is set to begin at 9 p.m. (CST).
