IOWA CITY, IA — The No. 34 Iowa women’s gymnastics team hosted No. 12 Missouri today in their final regular season home meet. Missouri defeated Iowa, 192.600-190.800.
Senior Kortny Williamson placed first on vault for the Hawkeyes with a 9.825. Jennifer Simbhudas scored 9.725 for a fourth place finish on the event, and Katie Burke scored a 9.7 to tie for fifth.
On bars, Burke placed highest for the Hawkeyes, scoring a fourth place 9.675. Natalie Padilla scored 9.625 for fifth, while Brandi Loffer scored a 9.55 to tie for seventh on the event.
Iowa did not fare so well in beam competition, with Loffer placing highest for the Hawkeyes with a fifth place 9.675, while Williamson placed sixth with a 9.625.
On floor, senior Liz Grajewski claimed second, scoring 9.8, while Danielle Legeai placed third with a 9.7. Loffer placed fourth with a 9.625.
In the all-around, Grajewski took second place with a score of 38.225.
The Hawkeyes return to action March 25th at Big Ten Championship competition, held at Michigan State University.
