MOBILE, AL -The Iowa Men’s Golf team finished the first round of the USA Spring Classic in seventh place. The Hawkeyes carded a two round score of 589 (+13) which is only three strokes behind fourth place Mississippi State.
Senior Andy Tiedt (+1, T9) and junior Todd Larson (+2, T15) both had solid rounds and are in the top 20 on the leaderboards. Cole Peevler (+5, T35), Jon Feldick (+6, T43) and Luke Miller (+20, 74) also competed for the Hawkeyes. Brian deBuhr (+3, T23), Kyle Hougham (+10, T57), Bennett Hammerberg (+11, T60), Dan Holterhaus (+11, T60) and Zack Anderson (+14, 66) are competing in the tournament as individuals.
The Hawkeyes will finish the final round of the USA Spring Classic Tuesday at 8:00 a.m.
