IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa men’s tennis team has been named an ITA All-Academic Team. The Hawkeyes have a team grade point average of 3.34.
The Hawkeyes were the only Big Ten team to qualify for the honor. Selection requires a team GPA of 3.2 or above.
In addition, four team members were named ITA Scholar Athletes. Such recognition requires a minimum 3.5 GPA. Those selected were former-Hawkeye Aaron Schaechertle and current team members senior Scott Elwell and sophomores Mat Sawin and Greg Holm.
