Head Coach Lisa Bluder
“I’m proud of the way our team played in the second half. I’m just in a quandary as to why we get 24 points down. I appreciate our battle back, but I just don’t understand why we get so far down and have to put so much effort to get back. But again, it was a wonderful second half. We outscored them by 20 in the second half, but that’s not enough when you get outscored by 20 in the first half.”

“I wish I was able to put my finger on it. If I said something right now, it would be a guess. I really can’t figure out why we don’t come out and play the way we are capable of playing. It’s very frustrating, but we’ll just keep hammering away at it. In the first half we had 17 turnovers, and in the second half and overtime we only had six. It felt like our offense was over zealous in the first half rather than calming down and really executing. We need to eliminate the turnovers.”

On Megan Skouby fouling out with two minutes left in regulation
“Megan fouling out had a big impact because she is our biggest target. It was a big loss.”

Sophomore Kristi Smith
“All around our shots started falling and we got more confident in the second half. When our shots fall, we tend to play better defense.”
