DURHAM, NC – The University of Iowa men’s golf team finished its final day of competition at the Duke/Coca Cola Classic in Durham, NC. The Hawkeyes recorded a 54-hole score of 882 (+18). Iowa finished 12th overall in the 15-team field. Duke University and Tennessee-Chattanooga tied for first overall with scores of 842 (-22).
Freshman Vince India, junior Cole Peevler and senior Scot Glasford led the Hawkeyes. Each finished the tournament tied for 51st with 54-hole scores of 222 (+6). Peevler fired an 18-hole score of 71 (-1) on Monday, his best of the tournament. Additionally, senior Todd Larson finished tied for 60th overall with a score of 223 (+7). Senior Dan Holterhaus tied for 65th overall with a 54-hole score of 224 (+8). Jonathan Hodge of Tennessee-Chattanooga was the medalist after recording a score of 204 (-12).
The Hawkeyes will compete at the UNC-Wilmington Landfall Tradition beginning October 26.
