WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – – The Iowa women’s golf team carded 315 in round three of the Big Ten Championships today. The Hawkeyes moved up to sixth place with 959. No.9 Purdue still leads the tournament with a three round total of 909.
Senior Tyrette Metzendorf is in third place individually with 229 (+13). Chelsea Harris (+30, 246) fired a 76, tying her season best 18 hole score. Becky Quinby (+27, 243) carded 83 and sophomore Lauren Forbes (+36, 252) shot 85. Laura Cilek and Alison Cavanaugh shot 90 and 80, respectively.
The final round of the Big Ten Championship tournament will tee off tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. The Hawkeyes hope to keep improving and move up the leader board. Iowa tied for eighth at last year’s tournament.
