IOWA CITY, IA — The University of Iowa wrestling program will hold its annual youth clinic Jan. 16 from 5-6 p.m. in Carver-Hawkeye Arena prior to the Iowa vs. Oklahoma State dual. Youth ages 7-13 are invited to participate in the free clinic, which will be conducted by members of the Hawkeye wrestling coaching staff.
The East Carver-Hawkeye Arena doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for participants and their families. Parents will be required to sign a medical release form for their child at the check-in table, or the child must bring the form with them to the arena and present it at the check-in table. Parents can print the release form online at www.hawkeyesports.com and fill it out in advance to speed up the sign-up process. The child will then be given a complimentary gold Iowa Wrestling t-shirt for their participation in the clinic.
Participants will receive a free ticket to the Iowa vs. Oklahoma State dual, which is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. The meet has been designated a “Be Bold, Wear Gold” event, where Hawkeye fans are encouraged to wear gold attire to the meet. Parents and family members will be required to purchase a ticket at the athletic ticket office window. Tickets purchased at the clinic are $15 for adults, $8 for youth and $2 for children ages five and under.

2010 IOWA WRESTLING YOUTH CLINIC
WHEN: Saturday, January 16, 2010 vs. Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. Be Bold Wear Gold Meet!
TIME: Doors will open at 4:30 pm for participants and their families (East Entrance ONLY). Clinic will begin at 5 p.m. and will be conducted by the UI Wrestling coaching staff
WHO: Youth ages 7-13 are eligible to participate
COST: Admission is FREE for participants; everyone else must purchase a ticket at the ticket office window. A FREE ticket will be given to the child at this time. This way both the child and family members will be seated together.
HOW: Check-in will take place at a table at the East Entrance with sports marketing staff. Parents will be required to sign a medical release form for their child, or the child must bring the form with them to the arena. Parents can print the release form online at www.hawkeyesports.com and fill it out in advance to speed up the sign-up process. The child will then be given a complimentary gold Iowa Wrestling t-shirt for their participation in the clinic. The clinic will end at 6 p.m. Fans will not be able to leave and re-enter the arena. Once you are in for the clinic, you are in for the meet, which will start at 7 p.m.
