IOWA CITY, IA – – University of Iowa Head Men’s Basketball Coach Fran McCaffery and the Iowa basketball program are featured today on ESPN.com’s college basketball front page.

College basketball writer Dana O’Neil sat down with Coach McCaffery and UI Director of Athletics Gary Barta recently to talk about rebuilding the Hawkeye basketball program. McCaffery discuss his up-tempo style of play, recruiting, the task ahead, and more.

“I know how to do this; I know how much work it takes. This is different than rebuilding in the SoCon or the MAAC in that we’re playing Ohio State and Michigan State twice a year, but the basic rules still apply. We have the resources. We have the tradition. We have the fan base. If you have that, it can happen.”
