IOWA CITY, Iowa – – Hawkeye fans not able to make it to Carver-Hawkeye Arena Wednesday night for Iowa’s Big Ten Conference opener against Illinois can follow the action along with the live blog. Staff of the Iowa Sports Information Office will be manning the Official Iowa Basketball Game Day Blog from press row during the game.

Fans can click HERE on game day to participate or right now to register to have a reminder sent to you.

This feature gives diehard Hawkeye fans the opportunity to voice their opinion in submitting questions and comments, answer polls and get up-to-the-minute play-by-play, notes and stats about the game and Hawkeyes.

Fran McCaffery and the Iowa Hawkeyes will likely experience a couple of firsts in tonight’s game against 23rd-ranked Illinois – the first Big Ten contest and the first sellout of Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the 2010-11 season. A limited number of general admission standing room only tickets in the student section, above row 25, remain for tonight’s contest.

A reminder, due to the volume of entries, not everyone’s questions or comments can be posted.

The live blog will begin at approximately 7:45 p.m. (CT) and run throughout the game. Click on the interactive box below to join in on the conversation.

Wednesday’s game will be televised nationally on the Big Ten Network (HD). Gus Johnson and former Hawkeye Kenyon Murray will call the action.
