IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery will meet the media at 2:15 this afternoon at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The first year head coach will touch on his Hawkeyes’ back-to-back wins over Michigan State and Indiana before focusing on Wednesday’s home game against No. 18/19 Wisconsin.
McCaffery’s news conference will be available live and exclusively from start to finish to subscribers of Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media mortal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official World Wide Web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Iowa has posted consecutive Big Ten Conference victories for the first time since the 2007 season. The Hawkeyes downed Michigan State, 72-52, on Feb. 2 before going on the road to top Indiana, 64-63, on Saturday. Junior Bryce Cartwright put up solid numbers in the two wins, averaging 13.5 points and nine assists.
Wisconsin comes to Iowa City winners of five-of-six contests, which includes wins over Purdue (66-59) and Michigan State (82-56) last week. The Badgers are 17-5 overall and 7-3 in the Big Ten this season.
