IOWA CITY, Iowa — Former Hawkeye wrestlers and coaches were featured in last week’s episode of USA Wrestling Weekly. The weekly web show, hosted by Scott Casper, is produced each Friday by themat.com.
The April 22nd show was peppered with a black and gold flavor. Former Hawkeye and three-time NCAA champion Lincoln McIlravy was profiled in a segment featuring wrestling’s all-time greats. Former Hawkeye NCAA champion and USA Wrestling’s head women’s coach Terry Steiner previewed the team’s upcoming trip to the Mongolian National Wrestling Championship.
USA Wrestling plugged the recent launch of iowacitytolondon.com, the official world wide web site for the 2012 USA Wrestling Olympic Trials, and promoted the upcoming retirement celebration for Hawkeye legend and Olympic champion, Dan Gable.
