IOWA CITY, Iowa – There are still a limited number of spots available for the 2011 Hawkeye Tennis Summer Camps. Players of all skill levels ages 9-18 are invited to join women’s tennis head coach Katie Dougherty at a five-day camp at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex. Two sessions are available, the first from June 27-July 1 and the second from July 11-15.

The Hawkeyes have advanced to NCAA postseason play in each of Dougherty’s two seasons as Iowa’s head coach. Junior Sonja Molnar and senior Jessica Young recently completed postseason play at the NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championships doubles tournament in Palo Alto, Calif. Their appearance marked just the second time in program history the Hawkeyes advanced to the doubles tournament in consecutive seasons.
Members of the 2011 Hawkeyes, assistant coach Jesse Medvene-Collins and other collegiate coaches from around the country will also be on staff to assist Dougherty and provide a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere.
