IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa junior outfielder Andrew Host has been voted to the Prospect League All-Star team. The game will be played July 13 in Beckley, West Virginia. Host is an outfielder for the West Division leaders Quincy Gems, who finished the first half of its summer season 20-9.
Host, who has been voted to his second consecutive Prospect League All-Star Game, leads the team in batting (.352) and is tied for first in the league in runs scored (27). The native of Altoona, has seven RBI and walks and ranks second on the team with six doubles.
Host played in 32 games for the Hawkeyes in 2011.
